How Long Does Botox Last?
The botox treatments generally last around three months. The way that botox works is that it helps muscles to relax. It’s one of the reasons why it’s useful not only for fixing lines and such on the face, but also for those patients who are having muscular issues, where they’re having problems with their jaw joint or getting headaches and such, botox can actually be a very, very effective treatment with helping with those issues as well. So once a muscle is treated with botox, it will relax. The patient will feel better. The relaxing helps the area to look better. And generally, it lasts around three months– a little bit more for some people, a little bit less for other people.
You should have a really good relationship with your provider who’s doing your facial rejuvenation, whether it’s botox or fillers or whatever you choose to have, because it’s something that’s going to be a long term relationship. It’s going to be a situation where you’re going to be seeing this practitioner every few months. And they should be familiar with your particular needs and wants. And that’s a good conversation to have at the beginning of treatment, because you’re going to be in this for the long haul.
